1. Superman was created by two teenagers in 1933. Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster were just kids when they came up with the idea for Superman.
2. Jerry Siegel originally wanted to name him “Superman”. He later changed it to “Kal-el” because he thought it sounded more alien-like.
3. The idea for Superman came to Jerry Siegel when he was watching a movie about Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He thought it would be cool if there was a superhero who could turn into a monster.
